My wife and I write posts about our experiences moving from Tokyo to Yakushima.

I was born in Tokyo and raised in northern United States. Before moving to Yakushima, I had been living in Tokyo for 12 years. I’m an software engineer, and I enjoy hiking, DIY, and games.

My wife was born in Fukuoka. She’s currently working as a project manager, and her hobbies include walking, listening to podcasts, and studying Spanish.
